AITI is the Authority that administers and enforces the Personal Data Protection Order (PDPO). It is the national body representative of Brunei Darussalam at regional and international platforms on matters relating to data protection.

Our functions and duties include promoting public awareness on data protection as well as providing advisory and training on matters relating to personal data protection.

PDPO Overview

Personal data refers to data about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which the organisation has or is likely to have access.

The PDPO aims to govern the collection, use and disclosure of personal data by private organisations by recognizing private organisations' obligations and the rights of the individuals to protect their personal data.
